Frequently Asked Questions
Q   What do I need to bring to class?

A   Studio Rise has complimentary face towels, so no need to bring your own.  You should always bring a water bottle to class because you’ll need to replace all that sweat or you can purchase a bottle of water on site.  Other than that… just bring a fantastic attitude and your willingness to work hard.

Q   How do I book in and pay for class?

A   Simply go to the www.studiorise.com.au/TimeTable select the class you want and then contact Studio Rise on T 07 3162 3231.  Classes can be purchased individually but the price becomes lower as you buy a larger pack of classes.    Our booking system allows you to register for class and know there will be a bike waiting for you when class time comes around.  You don’t have to show up early just to make sure you have a bike to ride!

Q   How should I dress for class?

A   We recommend cycling shoes, but good old athletic shoes will do.  Of course wear your favourite team cycling jersey but a t-shirt/singlet made of wicking material will make your indoor cycling experience much more pleasant.   We also suggest a cycling shorts… they can make all the difference in the world!

Q   I’ve heard your classes are hard!  What if I am not fit enough?

A   The great thing about cycling classes is that you ultimately control the intensity.  You can add resistance or take off some resistance any time you want to control how hard you want to work.   If you need to pull back on intensity during class, that’s just fine. This is your workout!  Remember, everyone had a "Day 1".  You'll find that your cardio fitness will greatly improve the more cycle classes you do!

Q   I have sore knees. Will indoor cycling aggravate my joints?

A   All our instructors are highly trained and will guide you through the correct bike set up to suit you. Indoor cycling is low impact and does not put excessive force through joints.

Q What kind of pedals do you use?  Can I bring my own?

A   We have pedals that will accept SPD and Look Delta cleats.  We also have clips and straps so you can wear good old athletic shoes. However, if you are going to come to class frequently we recommend investing in a pair of shoes with some SPD or Look Delta cleats.  You’ll wonder how you ever did so many classes without them!

Q   Do you have showers?

A   We have a unisex shower facility and both Ladies and Men’s toilets/changerooms.

Q Should I eat before exercise?

A   It is preferable to have a small meal (piece of fruit/nuts) at least 1hr prior to exercising. This allows the body to kickstart its metabolism and get to work on burning calories.
